Pain Relief Through Massage Therapy

Massage therapy is much more than a feel-good way to relax and enjoy yourself - did you know that it can also help you with pain relief? Our Greensboro chiropractor offers massage therapy as a helpful solution for pain management when you are dealing with headaches, chronic conditions, back, neck or shoulder pain.In many cases our Greensboro chiropractor will perform chiropractic adjustments and then recommend massage as a way to help relieve pain, reduce tension, improve range of movement and help reduce inflammation in sore muscles and body tissues.
Pain Management for Back Pain, Neck Pain, Headaches and More
Whether it is back pain, neck pain, a headache or shoulder pain or help with general wellness that you seek, massage therapy may be able to help you. Although most people know of massage as only a method to relax and unwind, it really does give you much more than that. Massage can help the body to increase the circulation of fresh oxygen-rich blood, while built up body toxins are flushed out. Improved circulation also helps to improve the body's immunity and avoid illness. Massage can help sore muscles and tissues to recover and thus improve range of motion following accidents or injury. Massage can even help with weight loss since it is an all natural way to lower cortisol (the hormone that makes the body hang on to extra pounds) in the body.
The massage treatment you receive here at Alternative Health Clinic will depend upon your specific condition. We use a wide range of massage techniques, and will fully customize a massage treatment plan for each client.
Getting rid of your pain does not have to be a pain. Questions or comments about the massage therapies that we offer? Please let us know or leave a comment below and we will be sure to answer your questions.

5 steps to get the fastest ireelf from piri syndrome: First stretch it (you can easily find many ways to stretch on the internet), second foam roll the IT band 3-5 times (it will most likely be painful), third deep massage with tennis ball or with a professional the piriformis, and glut medius (if possible have a professional massage the hip flexor or at very least perform a hip flexor stretch). Fourth perform 10-20 Mcgill crunches (google to see proper form), fifth perform 10-20 hip hikes (form is everything on this one). The key is to have a strong glut medius and strong abdominal wall. If you stand on 1 hip a lot this is a sign of a weak glut medius, if you have 1 foot turned out this is a sign of a tight piriformis. Do your best to stand even on both legs and keep your foot pointing straight ahead to avoid aggravation. Good luck!
